American walnut is a natural material selected for its depth of tone and quiet grain. Over time, the timber will subtly mature, developing character through exposure to light and its surrounding environment. This evolution is part of the material’s inherent beauty.

Care

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the surface. For more thorough cleaning, lightly wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Ensure the lamp is switched off before cleaning.

Maintain

The walnut has been finished to protect and nourish the timber. In dry climates or over extended periods, a small amount of high-quality timber oil may be applied sparingly with a soft cloth to refresh the surface. Always test in an inconspicuous area first.

Because the lamp is mounted and usually above eye-level, occasional dusting of the upper surface is recommended to prevent build-up.

Avoid

Do not use abrasive cloths, harsh chemical cleaners, or silicone-based sprays, as these may damage the finish. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or steam. As with all timber, direct and intense sunlight may cause gradual changes in tone over time.

Natural variation in grain and colour is inherent to American walnut and forms part of the character of each piece.

WHERE WARMTH RISES

The concealed light source delivers a warm, diffused glow, avoiding glare and leaving the wall in shadow while activating the ceiling above. At 400mm high, its vertical scale is intentional — proportioned to sit confidently within residential and architectural spaces, particularly those with height and detail.

SOLID AMERICAN WALNUT

A grain that reveals itself with light

Two sections of solid American Walnut, form the completed circuit when assembled. Within that carved channel, a concealed light source warms the timber from inside — the grain shifts from dark to amber. The natural variation of American Walnut means no two Circuit sconces are identical.
