Our Warranty

OUR PROMISE

PARCTA pieces are designed and made to last a lifetime — from their design, through to materiality, craftsmanship, and functionality. This Warranty covers manufacturing faults and material defects when a product is used as intended and cared for, in accordance with our care guidelines.

AGEING

Many of our pieces are hand-finished in natural materials. Subtle marks, shifts in tone, and a natural patina are a welcomed part of the materiality and contribute to the character of each piece over time. Ageing is an inherent product of longevity, it is welcomed by our brand as a testament to quality, and not considered to be a defect.

Your Rights

  • Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This Warranty is provided in addition to those rights.

This Warranty applies worldwide. Remedies and handling may vary depending on local regulations. Shipping, duties, and return handling are addressed separately in our Shipping and Returns & Exchanges policies.

Warranty by Material

  • Coverage

    • Structural integrity of the piece, including joins and construction: 2 years from delivery, covering manufacturing defects.

Natural oxidation, patina development, and minor surface marking over time are a welcomed part of the materiality. These are not considered defects.

  • Coverage

    • Structural integrity and finish adhesion: 2 years from delivery, covering manufacturing defects.

Anodised finishes are durable but not impervious. Scratches, wear from handling, abrasion, or exposure to harsh chemicals or environments are considered normal wear and tear. Changes to appearance caused by use, UV exposure, or cleaning products are not covered.

PARCTA does not warrant anodised finishes against scratching, scuffing, chipping, fading or corrosion for both indoor & outdoor use. If using outdoors, it is recommended that all products are kept in undercover areas.

  • A 2 year warranty from delivery, applies to the malfunction of an electrical component which occurs under normal use. This covers wiring, switches, structural integrity, and other lamp components for 2 years, against manufacturing defects under normal residential use.

    Exclusions

    • Light sources (globes/bulbs)
    • Faults caused by incorrect installation, incompatible dimmers, power surges, modification, or repairs carried out by unauthorised persons.

Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician where required. Instructions will be supplied on the respective product page, as well as with your order.

  • Coverage

    • Manufacturing defects in material or workmanship: 12 months from delivery

Glass and crystal are inherently fragile materials. Minor variations, air bubbles, or subtle inconsistencies may occur as part of the making process and are not considered defects.

This Warranty does not cover breakage, chipping, cracking, or damage caused by impact, mishandling, or everyday residential use.

  • Coverage

    • Structural integrity and material soundness: 2 years from delivery, covering manufacturing defects.

Stone is a natural material and will vary in colour, veining, texture, and surface finish. Small fissures, inclusions, and tonal variation are natural characteristics and not faults. Chipping, cracking, staining, or surface wear caused by impact, movement, or environmental exposure is not covered.

  • Coverage

    • Structural integrity of timber components: 2 years from delivery, covering manufacturing defects

Timber is a living material that responds to its environment. Variations in grain, colour, and tone are natural and expected. Small movement, checking, cracking, or colour change due to temperature, humidity, or light exposure is not considered a defect but a welcomed ageing of the materiality.

This Warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation or environmental conditions outside normal residential use.
